Comcast Recognized as Corporate Champion of the Year by Asian Chamber

The Asian Chamber of Commerce Houston recently hosted its Spirit of Entrepreneurship Awards, celebrating 30 years serving the Greater Houston Area. This annual event unites the Asian business community, celebrating excellence in leadership, business, and community impact within the greater Houston area.

Comcast received the distinct recognition of Corporate Champion of the Year. This award honors corporations who are champions of philanthropy and significantly contribute to Asian American businesses in the greater Houston area.

“The Asian Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Comcast as Corporate Champion of the Year,” shared Paul Gor, Development Director for the Asian Chamber of Commerce. “For many years, they have been a valuable partner providing support for Asian-owned businesses ensuring stability and growth through diversity, workforce development, public service, community outreach, business development, and education programs as well as financial investments.”

Toni Beck, Vice President of External Affairs for Comcast’s Houston Region, was in attendance to accept the award on behalf of Comcast.

The keynote speaker was The Honorable Elaine L. Chao, the first Asian American woman appointed to the President’s Cabinet and the longest-serving cabinet member since World War II. Honorees included a list of Houston’s finest, including C & Y Global, Dr. Srini Neralla of SIA Solutions LLC, and Richard Huebner, among others. See complete list of honorees here.
